Parian, Calamba City, Laguna.

The training was led by FO2 Francisco E Pedrosa Jr, a certified Water Search and Rescue Instructor, with the primary objective of equipping Fire Cadets with essential life-saving competencies in water-related emergencies and medical response, including foundational swimming, water safety skills, and practical applications through water rescue approaches and techniques, which are vital to their future roles in the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). The training was further enriched as Coach Danilo R. Salonga Jr., the Secretary General of Philippine Life Saving (PLS), visited the activity and shared neurodynamic exercises and other essential rescue techniques, enriching the cadetsโ€™ physical preparedness and overall training experience.

The activity was capped by a swimming proficiency evaluation and a theoretical written examination and culminated in a comprehensive simulation exercise, where cadets applied their acquired skills in a realistic emergency scenario with the assistance of EMS personnel from Calamba Fire Station. PPSA remains committed to developing competent public safety officers, continuously empowering future fire officers with the skills and readiness needed to save lives and protect communities.
