The Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA), in its continued efforts to support the celebration of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW, conducted an Information Drive on Republic Act No. 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, in Barangay Kanluran, Santa Rosa, Laguna. The activity was actively participated in by the residents and barangay officials of Brgy. Kanluran, under the leadership of their Barangay Captain, Hon. Ronald A. Daroy.
With his expertise as the Resource Speaker, Atty. Fabian L. Noche provided the participants with a deeper understanding of the law, including the proper legal procedures for filing complaints under RA 9262. The activity encouraged meaningful discussion and allowed participants to raise questions that clarified key nuances of the law, further strengthening their awareness of available legal protections.
Through this initiative, the Academy reaffirms its commitment to promoting a violence-free and well-informed community by empowering individuals with knowledge and accessible legal education.
