The activity provided cadets with direct exposure to correctional facility operations through structured interviews with paralegal officers and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), focusing on the implementation of early modes of release and current operational challenges. Moreover, the cadets participated in a detailed facility walkthrough that demonstrated PDL housing categorization in accordance with established Bureau policies and examined livelihood programs as integral components of the institutional welfare and development framework.
This immersive learning experience emphasized the critical importance of compassionate and strategic leadership in correctional administration. Through firsthand observation of how institutional policies integrate with humane treatment protocols, cadets gained essential insights that will improve their professional development and future service.
This educational activity reinforces the Bureau’s commitment to preparing competent correctional officers dedicated to building a secure and humane society through disciplined leadership and service excellence.
