June 12, 2025 – In celebration of Philippine Independence Day, the Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) together with the National Forensic Science Training Institute (NFSTI), held a flag-raising ceremony at Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba City, Laguna.

With a theme centered on independence, the cadet speaker, Cadet 3C Julienne Sheen C Fresnoza, highlighted in her message that the freedom we enjoy today is a result of the leadership, sacrifice, love, and determination of those who courageously fought for our independence.
She reminded everyone that true freedom goes beyond the end of colonization, it is about striving for a brighter future, a better life, and a stronger nation. Her message emphasized that genuine freedom lies in overcoming the challenges we face today such as poverty, corruption, and inequality. It encompasses the continuous journey of national development, social justice, and genuine equality. It is about honoring the past by learning from it and safeguarding the future by valuing the freedom we now hold through making wiser, more responsible choices as citizens of this country.
Amidst the singing of the national anthem, the PPSA Chorale also highlighted the singing of “Ako ay Pilipino” & “Pilipinas Kong Mahal”. The significance of June 12th was once again brought to the forefront—a reminder that freedom is not merely a legacy, but a continuing commitment.
Mabuhay ang Kalayaan! Mabuhay ang Bagong Pilipinas!
