On June 7–8, 2025, the PPSA MADAYAWLAHI Class of 2025 Fire Cadets underwent an intensive two-day Life-Saving Skills Training designed to strengthen their operational readiness in rescue scenarios. This specialized training focused on rope and rescue techniques—crucial competencies in high-risk, life-threatening environments.

Equipped with modern rope and rescue gear, the cadets were immersed in hands-on sessions involving ascending, descending, and victim rescue techniques—foundational skills in vertical rescue operations. Under the guidance of seasoned instructors from the Special Rescue Force of BFP Region IV-A spearheaded by FCINSP REEVEN RYAN C BOLITO , they tackled realistic scenarios that tested not just their physical capability but also their presence of mind, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

The training highlighted the cadets’ ability to apply technical knowledge under pressure—ascending vertical surfaces, executing controlled descents, and simulating the safe extrication of victims in elevated or confined locations. These are the very competencies that define the courage and precision expected from our future Bureau of Fire Protection responders.

As they rise to meet the demands of modern rescue operations, this training marks yet another milestone in preparing them to be lifesavers in every sense of the word.
