The spirit of love filled the spheres of the Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) as they celebrated Valentine’s Day for the first time in a one-of-a-kind social gathering held on February 14, 2023, at Camp Vicente Lim, Brgy. Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna.
With its theme “Mahika,” the Corps of Cadets together with PPSA personnel experienced this magical occasion through Valentine’s dinner and other fun activities. The cadets prepared different Valentine-inspired booths for guests to try and enjoy. They also serenaded everyone passing by and offered them flowers and gifts. Exciting games, singing, and dancing added color and entertainment to the event.
In her inspiring message, JSSUPT LEONALYN O OLOAN, MPSA, Acting Director, PPSA, highlighted significant virtues in building a strong and lasting relationship with one’s family and other loved ones abbreviated as “LOVE” which stands for Loyalty, Optimism, Value and Enjoy. Further, she emphasized the importance of expressing love any time of the year, regardless of whether celebrating Valentine’s or just an ordinary day.
