The Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) joined this year’s International Youth Day on August 12, 2023, held at Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), Camp Gen. Mariano N Castañeda, Silang, Cavite.

The celebration was organized by the National Youth Commission, headed by USEC. Ronald Gian Carlo L. Cardema who highlighted the vital role of the youth in nation-building.

“We are honored to celebrate the Annual Anniversary of International Youth Day with this assembly of young leaders. This event underscores our commitment to providing a platform for youth voices and collective action,” USEC. Cardema expressed in his message as the guest of honor and speaker in the said momentous event.

It fostered the spirit of camaraderie among the participants, especially the selected cadets from various esteemed institutions of the country such as the Philippine Military Academy, Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific, Philippine Navy, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Air Force, Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Commanders, and Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons.

Funfilled activities were carried out to provide them with an avenue for sharing ideas; benchmarking best practices; forging bonds despite diversity; and cultivating a culture of unity, respect, uniqueness, and interdependence.

The celebration truly embodied the empowering message to the Filipino youth: THE YOUTH IS OUR FUTURE. We owe them the responsibility to guide them as they embark on their milestones.
