The cadet speaker, CDT 3C DARREN JOY N JAYLO, delivered a compelling message centered on a broader perspective of equality, not just about gender, but about being treated with dignity regardless of life’s circumstances. She further shared that equality goes beyond just having equal opportunities; it encompasses empathy, respect, and fairness for all, regardless of background. In recognizing this deeper understanding of equality, she reflected that even in the face of adversity, when life’s answers aren’t what we expect, it is often faith that provides the strength to endure and the courage to move forward with hope.
She also emphasized that “Achieving true equality requires systemic change and collective effort which go beyond just individual choices and circumstances”. Everyone was encouraged to be vessels of equality, to lead with integrity, to uplift others regardless of background, and to help shape a society where everyone is valued.
