On Conquering Adversities: Donning the First Silver Line of Madayawlahi Class Of 2025

Hundreds have dreamt the dream of belonging to the regal blue and gray line, but only 66 brave souls made it. Tried by time and toil, the new cadets have achieved the standard expected of them—that through sweat, tears, pain, and everything else in between in their 45-day pre-cadetship orientation program, they have proven themselves worthy to be conferred with their shoulder board as fourth-class cadets.

Following the Incorporation Rites, the ceremonial Investiture Rites of the PPSA “Madayawlahi” Class of 2025 was held on July 27, 2023, at National Fire Training Institute Multi-Purpose Building, Camp Vicente Lim, Brgy. Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna.

Graced by the PPSA Acting Director, JSSUPT LEONALYN O OLOAN, MPSA, the donning of ranks heralded the culmination of the “breaking period” and the beginning of the first academic term of the cadets. In her speech, the Acting Director emphasized that the new cadets have become part of the PPSA Corps of Cadets and as they donned their insignias, there will be higher expectations of them and their potential.

Indeed, in order to be a dignified member of the rank and file of the PPSA Cadet Corps, one must be, above all, a leader whose heart yearns for public service. Unequivocally, the newly conferred 4th Class Cadets have poured out their fortitudes to embody the values of discipline, humility, and excellence throughout the toughening phase. They have proved themselves worthy to be regarded as a force to be reckoned with, and it is with this cue that they take their first step in the long and winding road of cadetship.
