The LEAD Academy conducted a 3-day seminar for the members of SANDIGMANLAYA Class of 2024 on July 29, 2022, at Rizal Hall, Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba, Laguna.

“Will you join us in building a better Philippines for the next generation?”

On the first day, Dr. Neil Mamburam, President of LEAD Academy offered this challenge which the cadets accepted with full enthusiasm. He discussed the Six (6) C’s of Essentials for Effective Leadership. The afternoon session began with a team-building activity that tested the teamwork of the fire and jail cadets.

The second day of the said seminar tackled Emotional Intelligence and Self-Awareness. With these, cadets were able to attain a higher degree of self-acceptance. They are enlightened on the difference between Emotions and Feelings during the discussion on Six (6) Basic Emotions.

The third and last day of the PPSA Cadets with the LEAD Academy addressed the Power of Rest for the cadets to get a hold and be knowledgeable of the importance of slowing down their daily lives by reserving a day in a week for “Sabbath Day”. They understand the benefits of observing “Sabbath Day” which is being cleared from negative influences and refocuses their direction. The afternoon session revolves around the topic on “Facing our Shadows”, which was about confronting who we are.

The activity was a success for everyone. For the PPSA Administration and Faculty, Lead Academy, and especially for the cadets as they gain new consciousness and perception on how they will transcend the role of a God-centered and selfless public safety officer.
