“I WANNA DANCE WITH ZUMBA-DY” : the first-ever Zumba for a cause conducted by Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA)

In line with the celebration of Valentines, the Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA), headed by JSSUPT LEONALYN O OLOAN, MPSA, Acting Director, PPSA conducted the first-ever Zumba for a cause at the Philippine National Police Training Institute (PNPTI) Parade Ground, Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba, Laguna, with the theme; “I WANNA DANCE WITH ZUMBA-DY” with guest Zumba Instructors, PSSG Mark Joseph D Fajardo from PSPG VPPD Camp Crame, and Mr. Borge Pamulaklakin, Zumba Instructor from Anytime Fitness, Calamba City, Laguna, on February 16, 2023.

February is the month to celebrate love and compassion for other people. Loving is giving, that is why this Zumba for a cause activity aims to raise funds that will be donated to the Bahay ni Maria, a home for the abandoned elderly with special needs. Furthermore, this activity hits two birds with one stone for it does not only promote love and compassion towards others, but it also promotes self-love through wellness and exercise.

The said Zumba activity was participated by the Crime Investigation and Detection Course (CRIDEC) students and staff of the National Forensic Science Training Institute (NFSTI), personnel from the National Jail Management and Penology Training Institute (NJMPTI), and National Fire Training Institute (NFTI).

This activity was made successful through the collective effort of Team PPSA and the Corps of Cadets of the Philippine Public Safety Academy, and of course, donations received from Philippine National Police Regional Office 4A, under the leadership of PBGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR., Regional Director, and Del Monte Philippines.
