PPSA conducts educational tours to Intramuros, Rizal Park, and the National Museum of Natural History.
Instilling a strong sense of national identity, loyalty, and patriotism: The Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) Corps of Cadets and personnel conducted a local field tour to some of the most historical places of the country such as Intramuros, Rizal Park, and the National Museum of Natural History on November 18, 2022.
In a whole-day learning tour, the participants specifically visited Fort Santiago, Casa Manila, San Agustin Church, Manila Cathedral, Baluarte de San Diego, Museo de Intramuros, Luneta Park, and the Philippine National Museum of Natural History.
The educational trip further aims to enrich the knowledge of the cadets on different facets of Philippine History, natural resources, culture, arts, and values. Likewise, through first-hand experiences, cadets are provided exceptional learning opportunities to achieve meaningful and holistic development that are vital in their roles as future public safety officers.
This is also in parallel to their academic subject in Philippine History with Dr. Bernard Karganilla, a historian, columnist, human rights advocate, esteemed professor at the University of the Philippines – Manila and the One U.P. Professorial Chair Award in Social Sciences for Outstanding Teaching and Public Service.
It is yet another milestone for the PPSA as the institution values this activity as a pivotal and timeless strand in fostering a love for the country.
