In celebration of International Earth Day, the Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) headed by JSSUPT LEONALYN O OLOAN, MPSA, joined the clean-up drive held at San Isidro River together with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, PNP San Pedro Laguna, BFP San Pedro Laguna, Alaska Milk Corporation, Universal Robina Corporation, San Lorenzo School, Bravo Company-Philippine Army, UP Banahaw, Barangay Sto. NiƱo, Barangay San Antonio, and City Government of San Pedro, on April 22, 2023.
The essence of this activity lies in its ability to promote a cleaner and healthier environment for both humans and the place they live in. By removing litter and pollutants from an area, a clean-up drive can help prevent harmful substances from contaminating the soil, water, and air, which can have a negative impact on the health of the community.
Additionally, clean-up drives can help raise awareness about the importance of proper waste disposal and the need for everyone to take responsibility for keeping the environment clean. The collective effort of volunteers, organizations, and local government officials during a clean-up drive is crucial in making a positive impact on the environment and promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.
