BIDA Program : “Buhay ay Ingatan, Droga ay Ayawan”

The Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) launched a week-long program that includes seminars and information drives in support of the Department of Interior and Local Government’s campaign against illegal drugs dubbed as “Buhay ay Ingatan, Droga ay Ayawan” or BIDA.

As the opening activity of the program, PPSA cadets and staff spearheaded by JSSUPT LEONALYN O OLOAN, MPSA, proceeded to General Trias City Jail and conducted an Information Campaign Against Illegal Drugs to 250 PDL on January 10, 2023.

Further, the event was brought to life when the jail cadets demonstrated their talents and provided parlor games to the PDL that painted smiles on their faces. They had also successfully performed the BIDA dance challenge together with the PDL of General Trias City Jail. In addition, the academy handed over the donations for the PDL to JCINSP ARIS WILLIAMERE A VILLAESTER, City Jail Warden.

The BIDA program is a stepped-up, all-encompassing effort to combat illegal substances. Thus, the academy actively supports DILG’s campaign because it believes that everybody must take a stand and do their part to ensure the success of this program.

Indeed, it was a successful event as the PPSA delivered new knowledge to the PDL as well as warm energy and laughter that lightened their mood during that short visit to their jail facility.
