Dr. Romeo S. Magsalos, Officer-in-Charge of the Philippine Public Safety College, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the joint Monday Flag Raising Ceremony of the Philippine Public Safety Academy (PPSA) and National Forensic Science Training Institute (NFSTI) on July 18, 2022, at PPSA, Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba, Laguna.
To inculcate social grace and etiquette for future Public Safety Officers, Dr. Magsalos discussed the importance of knowing the different personality types of people, including first impressions.
While most people say that impressions don’t last, statistics show that physical appearance has the highest bearing in associating one’s personality, which is essential in leadership.
In telling these facts, Dr. Magsalos emphasized to the cadets that their conduct reflects the institution they belong to. Holding the academy’s hymn: “We pledge to raise your banner high,” he challenged the pioneering batch of PPSA SANDIGMANLAYA Class of 2024 to embody every lyric of the PPSA Hymn as future leaders in public service.
