October 19, 2023 – Rain or shine, nothing beats the spirit of sportsmanship among cadets as the Philippine Public Safety Academy kicks off the 2nd Intramural Games. The opening ceremony was held at the National Police Training Institute (NPTI) Gymnasium highlighted by the lighting of the cauldron by the Cadet in Charge for Athletics.

JSSUPT LEONALYN O OLOAN, MPSA, Acting Director PPSA said that Cadets are encouraged to hone themselves holistically by sharpening not just their wits in academics but also strengthening their body through engaging in sports. The intramurals don’t only give a break among cadets for recreation but also instill sportsmanship and camaraderie as they build their character inside the academy.

Moreover, individual and group games began on the first day. These include chess, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and the Game of the Generals. Every event was energetically played by the cadets and was participated by PPSA personnel.
