The Philippine Public Safety Academy, established under Section 68-B (d) of Republic Act No. 6975, also known as the DILG Act of 1990, is the premiere institution mandated to provide the education and training for future commissioned officers of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) as amended by Section 7 (d) of Republic Act No. 11279.

The personnel and Cadets of the PPSA shall internalize the core values of Excellence, Integrity and Service. As such, they shall always uphold the truth, observe discipline and pursue continuous improvement of self and organization
