As part of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, the PPSA personnel and cadets, under the leadership of the Acting Director, JSSUPT LEONALYN O OLOAN, with their efforts in preventing and eliminating violence against women, conducted an information drive and community visit at Brgy. Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna on December 9, 2022.
The seminar was actively participated by the different Barangay Organizations such as Women of Kapayapaan, Adhika MCDC, Ladies of Democracy, and Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities (ERPAT). The Resource Speaker, JO2 (Atty) Avelino Cariño Jr discussed the Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, and the Republic Act 11313, or the Safe Spaces Act. The team also distributed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials for the said activity.
Indeed, a journey towards a VAW-free community.
